Location

The village Stara Fužina lies in region Triglav National Park. Close by Bohinj Lake, which is 15 minute on foot from the village. Stara Fužina is an excellent starting point for a walks in the surrounding woods and mountains. Near by is the famous Korita Mostnice (gorge). In summer time it is possible to swim in Bohinj Lake, climb the mountains, go mountain biking, sport climbing and many other activities.
In winter time there are cross country skiing tracks, which are made on meadows and fields. Lovers of alpin skiing can relax at the ski centers Vogel, Kobla and the ski slope Senožeta. If it is cold enough it is possible also to iceskate on the lake and sladge down from Vogar.

Close to our appartments, just 30 metres away is the refreshmentroom Planšar (Alpine herdsman), where you can eat typical Bohinj food and you can order breakfasts. Next to this cafe is Museum of alpine dairy farming. In it you can see the life and work in Bohinj moutains 100 years ago. If you are interested in our cultural heritage you could see a saw and water mill which are both still in use.

How to find our house by car ?

In Bohinjska Bistrica turn right at the crossroads. Follow the direction for Bohinjsko jezero (Bohinj Lake) which is about 6 kms. Turn right over the bridge towards Srednja vas. Stara Fužina is the first village. Drive through the square, after the Mercator shop is a small chapel, turn right and cross the bridge towards Srednja vas, go past Gostilna Mihovc (on your left) half way up the hill when you see a streetmirror and sign post for (APARTMAJI CESAR 184, HODNIK 185) on your right, you must turn left into a narrow street.
